THE BEST THAT CREATIVE WRITING HAS TO OFFER
Founded in 2016, The Soap Box Press is dedicated to providing an accessible platform that publishes the work of emerging and established writers.
Our mission is to create a community for writers and artists, where the creative process is supported and nurtured. We understand the many barriers that can prevent writers from getting published. We make it our mission to ensure that regardless of socio-economic status, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, race, religion, or geographical location, The Soap Box remains accessible for all writers within our community. At The Soap Box, we make it our mission to ensure that all voices, whether emerging or established, have a place to be heard.
The Soap Box creative writing anthology is released on an annual basis, with creative works inspired by a preselected theme. Writers are invited to submit poetry, short stories, and creative non-fiction pieces during open calls. We also publish 2-3 chapbooks annually, and occasionally publish full length works.
In addition to our publishing program we are committed to supporting our growing creative community by providing workshops, panels and talks, networking opportunities, reading series, and more.
