mo nighean: the universe inside the comma is a poetic exploration and meditation on pregnancy, motherhood, and life as it is experienced by one woman who is invariably altered by chronic and disabling conditions such as Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome.

In this collection, chronic illness acts as both a catalyst and threat to creation and new life. Through poetry and collage, the liminal space between body, self, and other are questioned as artistic creation and the creation of a new life are laid bare.
